Wada’s Focused Government Will Transfrom Kogi – Abdul Adama

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Public Private Partnership (PPP) Hon. Abdul Adama has stated in unequivocal terms that the present administration of Captain Idris Ichalla Wada is poised to transform Kogi State.

Adama appealed to the people of Kogi State to remain patience with the steady progress of Governor Idris Wada, stressing that the governor has meaningful agenda to transform the state and remain focused at the course of developing and establishing all sectors of its economy.

The PPP champion also added that the establishment of Public Private Partnership Agency in Kogi State will guarantee economy transformation and boost the Internal Generated Revenue of the state.

He described the Public Private Partnership as the marriage of the Public and Private to create a service government  or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies.

Adama, indicated that with wide believe that the Private sector has more technical-know-how than the Public sector because they are practically into the service.

According to him, the Public-Private Partnership initiative in the State is still at an infant stage and a draft bill to jump-start a full fledged PPP regime currently lies on the desk of the State Attorney General for scrutiny, amendment and  onward passage into law by the State Assembly.

The former assistant to the immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Dr Bukola Saraki expressed with great conviction that the Public Private Partnership clearly deals with a win-win situation, a scenario where the Public wins and the Private wins.

The former Founder and Chairman of the only privately-owned Nigeria Premier League club, ABS FC while justifying the basic needs for Public-Private Partnership, said the regime will ensure there are good roads in the state, improved public service and efficient management of public infrastructure.

He pointed out that there are no standard motor parks for truck drivers which must have hindered the quick transportation of goods and services, and affirmed that should the PPP be in place such problem can be quickly solved.
