Yesterday, I wrote about how Captain Wada has started using our common resources to buy image boosting award at the expense of poverty, hunger and underdevelopment in the state. Just before I could finish writing the piece another news and picture surfaced on the social and mass media that our dear non-performing and clueless governor Wada has gone to visit former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his hilltop residence at Abeokuta where he was commended for bringing purposeful leadership to the state.
I begin to wonder whether the person that gave the commendation and the person that received the commendation do not exactly know what the meaning of PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP is.
Purposeful leadership is all about provision of social amenities, infrastructural facilities, people-oriented, transparent and development oriented. Here we are faced with a very ironical situation where the state machinery of leadership lack the basic understanding of governance, in which the rot in the leadership mechanism has affected the institutional and administrative framework of the polity thereby giving rise to non-availability of basic social amenities, decayed or non-availability of infrastructures, wide scale grassroots poverty, embezzlement and swaggering of workers salaries.
What is purposeful leadership in all what is happening in the state and Obasanjo the master koni-koni man commended Wada for giving us purposeful leadership?
If I have the opportunity to put a call across to Obasanjo, I will simply ask him what purposeful leadership is, and he should try and relate it to the realistic happening in Kogi state.
Also if opportunity permits me to put a call across to Capt Wada, I will simply ask him what he has done to receive such a commendation.
Thank God kogites are not Obasanjo, and Obasanjo is not a Kogite.
One thing is for sure, Obasanjo cannot dictate to us who to vote and who not to vote. Kogites are the one swimming in the ocean of poverty, infrastructural decays, hunger and anti-human tendencies artificially created by Wada-led govt and its sycophantic attributes.
One thing is crystal clear, Capt. Wada is politically defeated in the public without using the political pampers and the terrible odour has saturated the whole of the political sphere of Kogi state. No amount of emergency application of political pampers can help prevent the odour from spreading. Even the yahoo- yahoo award and commendation cannot help.
Surely, for it is written in the books of Kogi state election 2015; “verily, verily I say unto you that it is certain that Wada will contest 2015 elections but surely he will become a victim of the election, because the people desire change and not ‘Obasanjonised’ purposeful leadership”
