Wada Swears in 90 Senior Special Assistants Today

About ninety Senior Special Assistants, drawn from different Political Parties in Kogi State have been sworn by the Government of  Kogi State, with a charge on them to put politics of appointment behind and embrace the policy of good Governance, diligence and accountability.

The newly sworn in Senior Special Assistants were also tasked to give Special Advice by injecting new ideas that are not only uncommon but relevant and meaningful to the transformation agenda of the present administration.

Capt. Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor, made this known at the inauguration of Senior Special Assistants, at the Government House Lokoja.

Represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi disclosed that the present administration in the State is moving away from the perception of appointments as political patronage and as a gift but as an assignment and a responsibility.

The Governor assured the newly sworn in Senior Special Assistants of reward to performance and dedication adding that no genuine service will go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Wada, disclosed that creativity and selflessness is what is expected of them and not fixation from gratification, urged them to work for the corporate advancement, collective development and progress of the State.

In his speech, Alhaji Isa Adeboye, Senior Special Assistant on inter – religions affairs, who spoke on behalf of the newly sworn in Senior Special Assistants, promised that they will live up to expectation.
