Wada Lacks Will To Implement 2013 Budget – Idris Miliki

Reactions has begun to trail the presented 2013 proposed budget of the Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state as a popular Human Right Activist and Coordinator for the Centre for Human Rights and Change Initiative, Idris Miliki expressed shock while describing the poor performance in the 2012 Budget implementation as disappointment.

Idris reaction over the last year budget implementation came shortly after the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada has presented the 2013 Budget, which he tagged, “Budget of Transformation” at an estimated total of N130, 996, 844, 415.

He explained that, “my disappointment is in the sense that what was approved for him in 2012, he could not implement the budget up to 30%, which is a failure on its own. Even if the budget for 2013 is well planned and prepared.

“We are not sure if he has the capacity and courage to implement the budget.

“He signed the 2012 budget into law, the budget is as important as constitution, where is failed to implement budget he fail to implement the 2012 budget and even yet to tell us the financial situation of the state.

Idris demanded that, “where is the money for 2012, where has the money gone and even yet to tell us the financial situation of the state in the last one year.

“In this view, we cannot trust him to implement the 2013 proposed budget”, he concluded.

The Governor Idris Wada’s promises of transformation has been hugely criticized by people of the state as the deplorable conditions of the social amenities, facilities and infrastructure in the state troubles many.
