The Kogi State Governor Idris Ichala Wada has been praised for his excellent and prudent management of the state’s lean resources.
Abu Micheal, Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Deputy Governor, while speaking to our reporter in Lokoja, praised the governor’s decision in making human capital development, alongside balanced infrastructural development amidst lean financial resources, a priority, as one deserving commendation.
The Media Aide expressed satisfaction that Kogi State tops in state that has a clean bill when it comes to payment of salaries of wages, pointed out that the governor has shown that with improved resources the state will be better placed.
The Deputy Governor’s Media Scribe, said amidst lean resources accruing to the state and without mortgaging the future of state through domestic and foreign loans as is experienced in other state’s, the present government under Capt Wada, Abu added, has lived within available resources.
Mr Abu said the present administration has embarked on the construction of 58 road projects across the state among other several efforts in the Housing, Health and other sectors of the state’s economy, described the present administration in the state as one that is silently meeting the yearning and expectations of citizens of the state.
Abu Micheal, while urging for understanding from the people, equally commended the efforts of the governor to also fight the corruption in the payment of WAEC fees to secondary school students in the state, said the monies saved from the verification exercise, when ploughed into other sectors of the state’s economy, will benefit the state in general.
Abu expressed satisfaction that the state will soon commenced the refunds to those who have paid, called for the cooperation and patience of citizens to enable government lay a foundation that will ensure transparency in government’s plan to cushion the hardship of parents.
Mr Abu appealed for understanding from citizens of the state, described the present administration in the state as one that has been selfless, prudent and has governed the state with human face, said in the face of challenges that could have made the administration lose its focus, the governor remains undaunted, and committed to do more for the people.
