The Kogi State Government has awarded contract for the construction of a flyover bridge at Ganaja Junction in Lokoja, the state capital.
The Ganaja junction has been a trouble spot for chaotic traffic hold-up over the years mainly because Lokoja is a gateway to many other states.
The state Commissioner for Information, Hajiya Zainab Okino, who made the disclosure while briefing journalists at the end of the State Executive Council meeting in Lokoja, recently told newsmen that the contract for the construction of the bridge was awarded to Messrs TEC Engineering Nigeria Limited at the cost of over N4 billion.
Okino said the approval of the project by the council was aimed at solving the constant traffic jam being experienced at the spot daily.
