A renowned youths forum, Voice of Mopamuro Youths (VOMY) has congratulated Senator Smart Adeyemi on his victory at the Appeal Court.
Adeyemi’s victory at polls was affirmed by the appellate court on Tuesday, dismissing appeal filed by the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye.
In a statement signed by its public relations officer, Adeola Micheal, VOMY expressed optimism that Adeyemi’s representation will yield positive dividends of democracy.
“We appreciate his effort on the Federal government’s approval for the construction of Iluke – Suku – Ayetoro Kiri – Abugi – Kupa – Egan road. We seek for more follow up that will lead to eventual construction of the road.
“We are also calling on the attention of Senator Smart Adeyemi to the abandoned and devastating condition of the Aiyetoro – Mopamuro – Isanlu – Egbe – Omu Aran road. This road has being a long time cry and pain for entire Nigerians, especially the communities involved.
“This road has been in a worrisome state for decades now, thereby limiting and reducing the economy activities of people leaving in those community,” he said.
The youth group said it is hopeful that Adeyemi’s success at the Appeal Court will further enable him focus more on delivering and fulfilling his campaign promises towards the emancipation of the good people of Kogi West, Kogi State and Nigerians at large.
