Operatives of Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS), Itobe Command, have arrested a motorcycles snatcher and suspected informant to bandits, Omika Isah as well as his accomplice, Stephen Garuba.
According to the Public Relations Officer of KSVS, Idris S. Idris, the two suspects were arrested after luring one Mr. Yunusa Salihu, a motorcycle rider, to Ettutu forest where he was assaulted into comatose and made away with his motorcycle.
The criminals, who thought Yunusa had died, ran out of luck when he survived the attacks, and was rescued by a kind spirited individual inside the forest, and later assisted to the nearest security post by officials of KSVS Command at Itobe.
“After receiving briefs from Salihu, KSVS operatives swung into action resulting in the arrest the two suspects from their separate hide outs.
“Items recovered from the suspects included the victim’s motorcycle and a Tecno CM4 mobile phone.
“The, victim Mr. Salihu Yunusa, is currently in critical condition at the medical facility.
“The suspects, who confessed to the crime and involvement in similar nefarious activities in the past, have been handed over to the relevant security agency for further necessary action,” he said.
The Controller-General, Alh. Ibrahim Oneiza Sani, appreciates his men for the swift action, and assured members of the public of his unwavering commitment to the security of lives and property.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unceasing support for the State Vigilante Service in the fight against criminals across the state.
