Delay is not denial and the reward for hard work is more work. Again it pays to be loyal to a particular course. In other words, loyalty is always a litmus test geared on the altar of commitments.

When the news of Dr Usman Ogbo’s appointment as the Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja hit the airwaves, it was not a breaking news in my opinion. His appointment is a reward par excellence and it is an ample time for critics to learn the game of politics.

Indeed, one man’s food is another man’s poison. Ogbo saw the light at the end of the tunnel by swimming against the tide amidst so many setbacks, man hunt, insult and assaults by some instigators of mischief.

It is soberly obvious that some of his brethren who kicked against his switch are all over the media space sending congratulatory notes but who can erase past deviations against his affiliation?

As a former student of Dr. Ogbo who tutored me during my undergraduate programme in Kogi State University, Anyigba, I anticipate a colourful phase for the state owned polytechnic because it is a new dawn.

I strongly believe Ogbo is equal to the task ahead. However, he should be ready to make amendment where and when necessary.

Congratulations Sir!
