As people all over the world praying and believing God to celebrate the New Year festivity with family members and friends in good mood, the Education Secretary of Mopamuro Local Government Education Authority, Mrs. Ifedun Obajemu is not so lucky as some unknown miscreants bashed into her personal residence located at Orokere Quarters, Amuro area of the local government and set her official vehicle KIA Rio ablaze on the eve of the new year.
According to her, she and her family left for the New Year eve service in their local church, while returning home at about 12.30am, she discovered that there was a thick smoke coming out from her premises, not knowing what was happening, curiously rushed in, she discovered that her official vehicle has be been set on fire by unknown person.
She further said, as they were coming into the premises, one of her children saw somebody who jumped through the fence, noting that they only saw machetes beside the burning car.
The fire burnt the entire interior of the car before the fire was put off leaving the body of the car intact.
As at the time of filing this reports, one student has been arrested in connection with the case as his Sim card were found at the premises of the Education Secretary the following morning.
The Police authority in the area refuses to comment, noting that investigation into the matter is still on going.
Meanwhile, the Education scribe in Mopamuro has been hospitalized due to the shock of the incident.
