Hurray! It is that time of the year when merchants, customers and dependants may have reasons to smile because it is the month of December and the trending bonaza would inspire gifting in many sphere of interaction; lovers, spouses, concubines, employees, employers, loyalists and business partners are on standby to dole out gifts this yuletide season and it is anticipated that Santa is coming with a lot of blessings.
We are eavesdropping for the seasons of songs and the euphoria of Christmas is in the air but in Kogi state; the supposed confluence of opportunities, the reverse is the case. Let us dissect the trending sack bonanza before the White Lion returns to his den!
Hope you are all aware my twin brother, the White Lion is somewhere in Poland attending a summit with Baba?
Let me tell you the good news. Kogi State Speaker, Hon Mathew  Kolawole is presently on the throne and he is “shaking” the big tables with a thought of self deception because the hammer will soon be slammed on him like his predecessors. I am not a Prophet of doom but it is clearing written in the Book of ‘New Direction’ Chapter One verse 19 and it reads thus “We shall use you and dump you”. This is a practicing principles enacted by the cabals directing the sacking bonanza but in compensation to the law of Karma by November 2019, they shall follow the same route indoctrinated in Verse 19 of the ‘New Direction’ law of power.
Brethren! The Egyptians we see today, we shall see them no more, all we need is to unite positive forces and do the needful.
Back to the trending sacking bonanza by the New Sheriff in town. It is really a proven fact that power intoxicates but when the contents of power is pirated it can ignite an ugly phase of political abortion.
It is agreed in some quarters; brandishing the whims or school of thought that Hon Kolawole is seriously acting the script of his embattled mentors. A sane mind would not agree less because he who pays the Piper dictates the tune.
Come to think of it!
The Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba is abruptly on leave and he is expected to resume in January, 2019. Prior to the departure of the White Lion to Poland, Kogites and the world at large were not informed that Elder Simon Achuba went on leave. The remote controlled legislators did not receive any notification that the Deputy Governor was embarking on leave (maybe they will issue a counter statement to this effect after reading this discourse) but in a swift Kangaroo reaction a notice concerning his intent of annual leave went into circulation few days after pundits and social media commentators criticised the way and manner Hon Kolawole emerged as the Acting Governor of Kogi state without due process.
I think this is a failed scheme. At least, it would have served better had it been the seemingly power drunk Acting Governor is not politically romanced below the groin to gush out flowering elements from the system.
Tragically, the best hands in the New Direction government are either humiliated or sacked in order to pursue the reign of poor governance, powered to suit the drum beats of the drunk dancers, dancing to mocking tones of impunity.
Reshuffling a cabinet is not a political sin but it is catastrophic to kick out the real motivators while the few morally debased ignoramus are still in the system without any sensible traces of political contribution or innovation.
To cite an instance, the comic sacking bonanza trending in Kogi state could be likened to the dilemma of a poor patient taking panadol in a bid to cure dysentery. It is a case of misplaced priority and it is pitiable that on daily basis, the present government of Kogi state is derailing to wallow in the confinements of ignorance; senility demonstrated by the young and youthful comrades only in looks but full of uncensored spirits of youthful exuberance by wielding a confused state of mind.
Kudos to my friend, Hon Odaudu Joel Minister, the recently resigned Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media. He took a bold step and it is necessary at this point in time, if at all other sensible aides to the governor can peep into the future and do the needful before it is too late.
The greatest lash of disgrace is when an incompetent political helmsman decides to utilize his/her veto power by discharging aides who are not guilty as charged. Be that as it may, sacking of aides or civil servants is not an achievement. Prompt payments of salaries and a boost of pensioners welfare can nurture a colourful phase of winning the hearts of the masses. I repeat, the trending sacking bonanza is a pitiable case of misplaced priority which should not be taken serious because it may be schemed to cause distractions.
Hon Kolawole will definitely be baptized with the same water he is presently using for ablution. It is just a matter of time because it is the tradition of the incumbent leadership of Kogi state to use and dump loyalists and party faithfuls without regrets. To this end, it is pathetically corrosive to witness the derailing of men and women of goodwill each time they tend to politically backslide by enlisting to the camp of the semi baked opportunists wrecking untold havoc all in the name of leadership.
To those who have seen the light, it calls for celebration because you are now liberated from the vestiges of oppression and political servitude, disguised as appointment without any meaningful achievement. It takes guts to flex the muscles of self worth but in no distant time, you will reflect on your decision and feel proud that you are truly a son of your father. Our ancestors were not tamed, even during the peak of victimization they rebelled against the White imperialists therefore, it is a taboo to remain as stooges in a camp of young but illogical local champions.
This too shall pass away. For everything there is a time. This is just an era. We must continue to keep hopes alive. Nothing shall discourage us….
God bless Kogi state!
