Head Coach of Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum has handed Kogi-born midfielder, Ramat Ohunene Abdulkareem her maiden Nigeria call-up ahead of the Turkish Women’s Cup in Alanya.
Ramat’s late call-up is coming on the heels of reports that four national team players has pulled out of the tournament.
21-year old Ramat currently plays for Adana Idmanyurduspor in Turkey.
The former Confluence Queens player will become the latest Kogi-born female footballer to represent the country at senior level after Rachael Ayegba and Gift Otuwe, if she features for the Super Falcons at the tournament.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to open camp in Alanya on Monday and will face CSKA Moscow at the Gold City Stadium on February 18 before taking on Uzbekistan and Equatorial Guinea later.
