The senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Mr. Muhammed Salami Ohiare, has expressed optimism in the ability of the state and national assembly’s election petition tribunal, sitting in Lokoja, the state capital to do justice in the case before it.
Ohiare called on his supporters, on Monday, to disregard the rumour making the round to the effect that he had conceded victory to his opponent, Mr. Ahmed Ogembe, in a case that was still pending before a tribunal of competent jurisdiction.
He maintained that the people of Kogi Central gave him their mandate in the last National Assembly election, adding that he would never take their support for granted.
