Traditional Rulers in Kogi State will be encouraged to effectively carry out the task of maintaining peace in there domain.
Yomi Awoniyi, Kogi State Deputy Governor stated this when he received First Class Traditional Rulers from Central Senatorial District of the State who were in his office to rejoice with the government and people on the survival of Capt. Idris Wada, the State Governor in an auto crash recently.
Yomi Awoniyi, described Traditional Rulers as bastion of the peoples culture and tradition, described the measure of recovery of the State Governor,s health as a miracle, added that his rate of recovery has defied all odds and time line by medical experts.

With the State Governor fast recovering, a feat Awoniyi, described as fast, said the Governor would soon resume office, even though he has ensured that his physical absence does not impede Governance.
Awoniyi, disclosed that the State Governor has put in place necessary administrative measures aimed at ensuring that government business runs seriously and unhindered.
Awoniyi, urged people of the State to have an abiding faith in the Capt. Idris Wada administration.
He equally called on people in positions of authority in the State to carry out their task with absolute fear of God, as the present administration of Capt. Idris Wada,he opined is on the verge of transforming the State socio – economically.
Earlier in his speech, leader of the delegation, the Ohi of Okene/Okengwe, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf, said they were on the visit to thanked God for the survival of the State Governor and commiserated with the State Government on the death of Mohammed Idris, ADC to the State Governor who died in the auto crash.
