Torrent of Praises as Kogi Governor Marks 48 Birthday

Kogi State citizens from all walks of life, professional bodies, student union organizations, trade union organizations, associates and academics among several other groups, have expressed commendations for Governor Yahaya Bello for the lofty ideals of Gov. Bello’s administration as he marks 48th birthday on Sunday.

The Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), extolled the virtues of Governor Bello on the occasion of his 48th birthday.

The union in a congratulatory message by the council Chairman, Adeiza Momohjimoh and secretary, Ademu Seidu, described Governor Yahaya Bello as, “A highly resourceful leader who has used his youthful age to put the state on the pedestal of growth and development.

The Union particularly commended the infrastructural transformation of the state under the governor in the past seven years.

According to the statement, the governor’s intervention in the health sector, education and security are, “So obvious and disarming to professional critics who see no good in excellent jobs done by other people.”

The Union wished the governor well as he continues to pilot the affairs of the State and urged him to continue with the trajectory of development he has been known for, until the last day of his administration.

There has been outpouring of extolment, eulogies and expression of goodwill for Governor Bello by professional bodies, trade unions, associates, public officials, friends and groups of goodwill from across Nigeria, as Governor Bello celebrates his birthday in a low key, with torrents of goodwill messages.

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) joined millions of Kogians to celebrate with the governor for “eventful years in office as the amiable chief executive of the state with uncommon courage and transformational Agenda, anchored on purposeful leadership, with impact-driven growth and development in the state.”

NANS State President, Comrade Suleiman Mohammed, lauded the various development initiatives of governor Bello in education, health, infrastructure, agriculture and youth empowerment, as the students union says it had justifiably taken good stock of the development indices under Gov. Bello’s administration in the state.

NANS urged the governor to initiate more Youth-friendly policies in education and job creation, to give a sense of belonging to the youth who occupy a pride of place in the inclusive governance, Bello’s administration has offered the state.

The Nigerian Medical Association also rejoiced with the Governor just as it reminds the Governor on the need to recruit more medical personnels to close the gap in manpower shortage in the health sector.
