TOMADORT Int’l School Abuja Holds 11th Graduation Ceremony, Lists Achievements, Goals

TOMADORT International School, Abuja, at the weekend, held its graduation ceremony for the 2023 session. It is the 11th of its kind in the life of the school, established in 2009. The ceremony, which was attended by Management, staff, parents and well wishers was held at the school’s serene premises, along No 28, Abeokuta street, Area 8, Garki. 

Highlights of the ceremony include the parade of the graduating students and presentation of prizes.

In her address, the Proprietress of the school, Mrs Bukola Awarun praised the students for their hard work, resilience and determination to develop their skills and knowledge. She equally thanked both staff and parents for their dedication, commitment and support toward the accomplishments of the graduating class of 2023.

She outlined some of the achievements and plans of the school during the closing session to include the accreditation of Junior category of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and introduction of E-learning platform. The latter, which according to her is twofold, is aimed to make better use of technology with the teachers writing their lesson notes and carrying out their daily school activities on the database, and also to promote interaction between the pupils and the teachers.

She disclosed that parts of the plan is to expose the pupils to international examinations like Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), as developing successful students has been a much pursued goal in Tomadort International School.

“Our pupils can compete with their contemporaries anytime, any day anywhere. Our efforts to increase parents involvements in this new innovation was among our biggest successes of the year”, she added.

Good morning parents, ladies and gentlemen, teachers, and my beloved pupils.

I am honoured to stand before you today on this special occasion as we gather to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of another in the lives of our children.

As the proprietress of this school, I am proud to witness the accomplishments of our graduating students, the class of 2023, especially our pioneer pupils and parents.

Throughout their time in our school, these students have worked hard to develop their skills and knowledge. 

They have grown not only academically,  but also personally, they have demonstrated their resilience, determination, and hard work. 

I would like to take a moment to thank the teachers who have been instrumental in the development of our students. 

They have provided not only their time and knowledge but also their passion and dedication to education. 

They have challenged our students to reach their full potential and instilled in them the love of learning. 

Our teachers have also been mentors and role models to our students, and we are grateful for their unwavering commitment to their profession.I say thank you all.

To the parents, we recognize the crucial role you have played in the success of our students. 

We acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices towards this milestone.

To our graduands, today marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. 

You have accomplished a significant milestone in your lives, and we are excited to see where your future takes you. 

You have learned so much during your time in Tomadort Int’l school, and we are confident that you will use this knowledge to make a positive difference in the world.

As you embark on the next phase of your lives, I urge you to continue to strive for excellence. 

As you move to another phase in life, remember to take with you  the values that we have instilled in you. Always be kind, respectful, and compassionate towards others. 

Remember to stand up for what is right and to be a positive influence on those around you. You are the future leaders of our society, and we trust that you will make us proud.

Part of our achievements is the introduction of our E learning platform. My sincere appreciation goes to my husband, the Chairman of Tomadort Int’l School and my lovely children for their encouragements and support. You are simply wonderful.

To all my teachers I say thank you for your commitments and professionalism.

And to all our  esteemed parents, I say well done to you all.

Am glad to announce to you that our center for junior WAEC was accredited, and we had our first examination last month, and by the grace of God our accreditation for WAEC and NECO is in progress.

In conclusion, I would like to congratulate every one of our graduates.

You have worked hard, and your efforts have paid off. 

You have made us proud, and we are honoured to be part of your success story 

that we are here to support you and cheer you on. 

May your future be bright and full of success.
