A group which claims to be the authentic members of Kogi Integrity Group has described as laughable a press conference addressed by a kangaroo group impersonating it identity in Lokoja on Sunday in the name of passing vote of confidence on the governor.

The group made this known in a press statement signed by its publicity secretary Oiza Opisa in Abuja.

“We listened to the paid press conference aired on a broadcast media by a some hired impersonators who claimed they are members of Kogi Integrity Group and can only describe the charade as the worst Yahaya Bello could do in the name of remaining relevant”, the statement read.

The statement which described the Lokoja group as thieves of identify, denied passing vote of confidence of the state governor whom they said is expected to get matured in leadership over time but has remained crude, clueless, kindergarten and petty.

“Kogi Integrity Group, KIG, registration at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is at anchor state. The CAC has never given it any reason that any group is using such name and wonder why the rush to address a press conference on Sunday just at the time the group is holding her meeting in Abuja all in the bid to divert attention from planned press conference to address the childishness of the state government in the name of leadership”.

Oiza added that “what form of integrity will a group profess to pass a vote of confidence on a man who squandered over two hundred and fifty billion naira in one year with nothing to show for apart from endless and unproductive stressing”?

“It is a great concern to all right thinking Kogi indigene that a state owing workers’ salary will pay as high as five hundred million naira within hours to a faceless group with rented crowed just to pass vote of confidence on it in order to gain cheap popularity and remain relevant.

“We hereby call on those celebrating the current administration in the state to see the high rate of insecurity, hunger, unemployment, mediocrity and suffering before it sells its birth right for a plate of pottage.
