About fours ago in 2015, APC was an opposition party both in Kogi State and Nigeria at large and late Prince Audu was one of the founding fathers.
During the Presidential election, Prince Audu committed his energy, Time and resources, toiled the 36 states of this country plus FCT to make sure Buhari is delivered as the President of this country and they did delivered both Kogi and Nigeria for him
In November 2015 when it was time for Kogi Governorship election, Buhari swore never to support Prince Audu and never attend any of his rallies.
I remembered Audu held the Grand Finale of his rallies twice just so he can convince Buhari to attend the second one after he refused to attend the first but he ( President Buhari) still disappointed him and never showed up
Audu went ahead to win the election without his support but died before the declaration of the results. President Buhari who was in the country as at the time refused to attend the burial, he never send any representative, he refused to pay any condolence visit and worst of all, he refused to write a condolence message even if it is two lines to condole with the people of Kogi State and Kogi East in particular.
HE HATED HIM EVEN TO HIS DEATH
Today, President Buhari visited Kogi state again after about four years, not to come and commission any project but to come and use another set of Kogites just the way he used the ones in the past to seek for our votes and get nothing in return other than pains, hunger, starvation and anguish that has been the trademark of Kogi State since his administration.
I am sure if Audu were to be alive today, he would have been standing opposite this government that has caused so much pains just like his friends, Kwankwaso, Saraki, Lamido, Tambuwal and the rest of them trying to correct the anomalies today.
If you were once a true believer of the Audu philosophy of bringing good governance to the State, I advise you put on your thinking cap and reject President Buhari who is a direct opposite of what Audu stands for
