The case of Batch A stream 1 Muslim students currently undergoing orientation course in Asaya Camp, Kabba, Kogi State calls for urgent attention by all authorities concerned.

He also begs the DG to ensure that the case of the Muslim who are undergoing Ramadan fast be treated with special attention, parade and physical activities shouldnt be compulsory but optional.
An incidence occurred May 25th 2017 exactly 11:25pm, at the girls hostel when a female soldier ordered all corp members to come out and squat on the grass. They were seated for 30 minutes and unfortunately, one of the corp member was bitten by a snake and several fainted due to several minutes squatting.
Also a soldier, on monday 29th May 2017 punished three ladies till they fainted, simply because according to him “They didn’t Salute him” while passing.
A horrible incidence occurred today 1st June 2017, exactly 1:15pm when the Muslim Corpers in large numbers were on their way to the mosque to observe Zuhr prayer, the military instructor (RSM ) stopped them, allowed them to sit on the floor and was delayed for 20 minutes. It took the intervention of the staff and some persons who frowned at this, to calm the situation as the Muslim brothers and sisters stood up to protest.
These and many more incidence occur on a daily basis.
There is no doubt that Nigeria is a multi-religious country and the right of every citizen to practise the religion of his/her choice is conspicuously enshrined in her constitution. Every religion – Islam or Christianity has rules guiding its practice, dress code and manner of worship according to the scriptures and these have been part of both religions from time immemorial. It is therefore, instructive that religion sentiment on the part of some people at the helms of affairs should not be allowed to fuel the already volatile country.
We hereby call on relevant authorities to arrest this very ugly incidence.
