General Christopher Musa Gwabin, the Chief of Defense Staff might not be a Humanist philosopher, but have every of his actions projected as a student of Humanism.

The military was at it’s lowest ebb when he was appointed as Nigeria’s chief of Defence staff, a coordinating position of the Arm forces, particularly the greatest military forces in Africa.

He came in as the Theater commander of operation Hadin Kai in sambisa forest. Fresh from the battle field, you might say. He knew the problems faced by the forces fighting the terrorist and Bandits. The chain of command might not allow him exhibit his intelligent acumen, however, President Bola Tinubu who has a gift to detect talented geniuses to work with him, if one could remember all he did as Lagos state governor. President Tinubu brought him in as the coordinating General to help him restore normalcy in Nigeria’s Security challenges. Nigeria, in the last twenty four years has not enjoyed a controlled peaceful coexistence as we a presently experiencing. kidnappings, Banditry and Terrorism might not be over yet, but the magnitude has been lowered.

General Christopher Musa, a southern Kaduna native has given his people hope and better reason for being part of this commonwealth. They had experience a dastard criminalization for some years before now. But, his appointment restored peace, and southern part of Kaduna state were recently in the news positively, with the establishment of a federal university of science and technology, and the establishment of federal medical center.

Indeed when the wicked reigns, the people suffers, but when a good man reigns, the people enjoys .

General Christopher Musa Gwabin magnanimity spreads across the country and even within the military. Officers and men of the military often commend his great good public relations and philanthropy.

In sokoto state recently, he sponsored the renovation of a government Gwiwa clinic as a recognition of the time spent while growing up there as a child. Likewise his alma mater.

His passion to reach out to friends and childhood friends remains a shining example.

Perhaps, after quitting the stage, he will be remembered in the likes of great Generals in history like;
General Dwight D. Eisenhower, A former Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in World War II. Eisenhower played a crucial role in planning and executing the D-Day invasion. After the war, he became the 34th President of the United States and established the People-to-People program, which aimed to promote cultural exchange and understanding between nations. Also General Charles Gordon, A British army officer, is best known for his role in the Mahdist War in Sudan. He was a strong advocate for the welfare of the Sudanese people and worked tirelessly to improve their living conditions. Gordon also founded several schools and hospitals in Sudan.
General Douglas MacArthur was Another American General that played a significant role in World War II and the Korean War. After the war, he became the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers in Japan and oversaw the country’s reconstruction. MacArthur also established the MacArthur Foundation, which provides grants for various charitable causes around the world.

We have had many retired General in the country who all faught to keep the unity of this country and their story are indelible. This is yet another story in the anal of Nigeria’s military that will stand the test of time as a General who kept the peace and sustained the unity his predecessors built.

General Christopher Musa Gwabin has indeed done well and is doing well in the renew hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
