The political system has betrayed the youth and broken the hearts of the old, who in their youth saw better days ahead for themselves, our social fabric is being frayed and our representathieves are only representing themselves.
The time has come for a break from the old ways, for change and restoration of the peoples hope in Okene 1 constituency.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly,Okene 1 Constituency, Alh Usman Muhammed Nasir a.k.a Nasman has unveiled his political manifesto to the people of his constituency with a
promise to bring social-economic development to his constituency through participatory approach.
There are certain qualities that a good leader must posses that Alh Usman has, first and foremost, the best quality of a leader is honesty, God fearing and loving. A faithful and effective leader is trustworthy and reliable. He must capture the essence of truth, display sincerity, candor and practices what he preaches.
He makes decisions and accepts responsibility for his actions and his words. The same is true in his dealing with his people. He makes promises and keeps those promises. Somebody that people may be relied upon.
Loving people with all his heart, might, mind, soul and striving to help them as a true mark of responsible leader.
Alh Usman called on the people of Okene 1 Constituency to define the kind of change they want and ensure that the
change they finally elect is the one they can trust and relate with harmoniously, stressing that he has no doubt in his mind that this time around the people will consider capacity, capability, antecedent and preparedness, to be subject of scrutiny of the common man and woman in the constituency as they go to the polls to elect their representatives.
He said, “I am not contesting for the position for my sake but for the sake of the people I want to represent and I want to prove to them that I will be an example of a good representative and not a representathief.
He also pointed out that he will collaborate with the executive to increase the capacity of key government and community organs at the grassroots level to generate sustainable development of the constituency.
Adding that he will also demonstrate how real collaboration between the various stakeholders can generate more effective results in addressing the community needs and development challenges.
He pointed out that his strategic point agenda in achieving his vision, is to collaborate with the executive to foster
sustainable development within the constituency and empower communities in his constituency to generate a broad range of support from government.
My advice for the delegates who will first decide in the primary election who will represent them in the state house of assembly in 4 years is that, it is high time we elect a credible and transparent leaders, let support Alh Usman Muhammed Nasir for Okene 1 constituency for state House of Assembly for the betterment of our constituency.
More also, our delegates should do away with the act of selling there right to an aspirant for a little money like N20,000 to vote for them in the primary election and even if they give you the sum of N20,000.
The fact is that if you vote an aspirant for N20,000 what it means is that: If the aspirant win the elect, he has 4 years to spend in the office and 365 day make a year,now multiply 365 by 4 years and you will have 1,460 days then divide the N20,000 by 1,460 days he has to spend in office it will give you N13.69 per day.
Now let be realistic, is this what you deserve per day from your representative? And after they have won the election you can’t have access to them again, because they think they have pay you for the job now tell me is this a representative or a representathief?
Alh Usman have a lot to offer us that will contribute positively to our life and the life of our children.
Alh Usman pleaded with the delegates to votes wisely in the forth coming Assembly primary. He added that if he is allowed to represent his people in Okene 1 Constituency at the State house Assembly, he would bring his wealth of
experience to bear in developing the Okene 1 constituency.
