It is my pleasure and interest to write to you at this time, the hardship in Kogi state is getting on our neck and almost pushing us to the wall. We the citizen of Kogi state now look as if we have no genuine place and valuable things to enjoy in our own dear country. We seem to be forgotten and left alone without the intervention of the government; this is really a bitter experience in the state at this time.
I must not forget to commend your effort towards revamping the state from its present status, though it is believed that the state was not in good condition but nevertheless we cannot question God why it is so. And we must not also forget that God has decided to put a young person like you to stir the ship of our lovely state, but it is not so today. Hardship is increasing day by day, many can no longer make an earns meat, people are dying of hunger, many are lamenting why is it like this, people out of job mentioned among few.
Looking at so many areas/sectors in the state, it is quite evident that Kogi state should not be lacking in anyway. We are so much blessed with natural resources and yet a state like this is suffering.
Once again this is a bitter experience. Since the creation of Kogi state, nothing worthwhile has actually be done or put in place that can help broadcast or give a picture of how Kogi is going to be in future. Everybody lives in dilemma, in confusion choosing to work outside the state. This kind of situation hampers the progress of the state and help in growing other states that Kogi is far better than.
For instance, look at Akwa Ibom (though an oil rich state), can not in any way be compared to kogi state in terms of natural resources but their own economy is better than ours. Will you talk about Lagos that seems to be functioning without natural resources; the economy is okay and moving fine. It is high time we woke up from our sleep and
inability to be able to harness and use these resources in our dear state. So many things are deteriorating in our state.
The citizen are tired of talk and hear matter, we want to see the real work of an architectural drawing, I must remind you our Excellency that your work now determines your coming back in the next election sir. What pains me most in the state is the total closure of schools in the state.
For good 3 months now, there has not been any cold healing word from the government, you are jeopardizing our future and denying us of our right. The citizen voted for you to govern us well, but in turn it is not favoring us. The students are crying and lamenting why?
Three days ago, I called a friend of mine to know the latest on the issue of Kogi strike at hand, but all she told me was that she is sitting for another jamb so I asked why? All she told me is that she is tired of Kogi intermittent strike and this issue of accreditation of the medical school, must we always as a student never speak well of Kogi state institution at all. It shows obviously nothing is being done to stop this menace, therefore I must say this is a bitter
experience.
Please our dear governor we beg you, hear our cry and quickly come to our aid. Something must be done quickly to put things right before the days of our agony is being turned into something else’s.
We have seen your approach towards security challenges, we also pray you that you adopt same approach towards other sector in the state.
I also want to appreciate your team work; they are of good characters and moral values. We really need a change but must be done now to alleviate poverty, and reduce wastages to minimal level.
Thanks
