…..Churning out Lies to Gain Legitimacy
The Barr Kabiru Fadile Kabba Development Union led executive which is endorsed by the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi and the other traditional rulers as well as members of the entire 14 clans in Owe Land would not have responded to the online manufactured lies being churned out to Owe people but there is the need to set the record straight.
Since the inception of Kabba Development Union changes in the leadership of the union has always been in December with strong zoning arrangements put in place and in conjunction with the traditional rulers and heads of the 14 clans with their members.
Thus changes in leadership were through consensus and affirmation which have always brought about peaceful and seamless changes in leadership.
It is on record that the out gone Engineer Ajibero led KDU emerged through the above method and not through any online voting or election.
Against this background, Obaro in Council with the Obadofin of Oweland initiated and put in place a congress, the highest decision making body of KDU , which held at the KDU Secretariat in Kabba .
The congress which has five delegates each from the 14 clans in Kabba was held under the Chairmanship of the Obadofin of Owe land , HRH Oba Segun Areh ,the Obajemu of Owe land ,Oba Michael Ibinaye and assisted by the Obajanah of Owe land High Hon Chief Funsho Olorunfemi .
Against the above background an election in which all the 14 clans were represented took place.
Wherein the faceless online Emmanuel Bobinihi led KDU could not come to the secretariat in Kabba to carry out its change of leadership in view of its unpopularity and lack of stakeholders support.
How could a bonafide union which is for the development of a community hold its supposed election in diaspora and without the support of the traditional head of that community.
This is nothing but an aberration and affront on the instituted authority; the Obaro of Kabba.
It is blatant lies to adduce that the online election took place because of the state government ban on rallies or political gatherings as this was only put in place during the last Sallah celebration and not during Easter , there was no such order as of the time the change of KDU leadership took place.
So using such order as a yardstick for the online voting was an afterthought.
The supposed picture of Engineer Ajibero handing over the instrument of office to Mr Emmanuel Bobinihi didn’t not take place in the KDU secretariat headquarters in Kabba but in a beer parlour in Lokoja.
If truly Emmanuel Bobinihi has the support of the stakeholders who are the traditional rulers and members of the 14 clans why not come to the secretariat to do the handing over. They are operating at large.
That the KDU led executive of Barr Kabiru Fadile has the endorsement and support of our traditional rulers such as the Obaro of Kabba, the Obadofin of Kabba , the Obajemu of Kabba and others is a truth that cannot be denied as there are pictures they took with the executive members and there are some pieces of advice and messages made by the traditional rulers.
These pictures and words from our traditional rulers are all over the social media and the internet for whoever cares to see.
There is nothing that is more alien to Owe land than conducting a community election on line or handing over to a man at large in a Lokoja beer parlour. What happened to the Obaro’s palace or the KDU secretariat ? How could you divorce the head from the body?
In other words, it is an aberration or abnormality to want to rule over the people of Kabba without the traditional rulers being carried along.
We challenge the online, unpopular and lack of home based Bobinihi led executive to make public where the Obaro, the Obadofin and Obajemu as well as other traditional rulers gave them any support or they should make public those who endorsed the hoax online election. They claimed it was well applauded. Who are those applauding a diaspora election which is not even yet part of the acceptable
methods of voting by INEC in Nigeria.
Stop churning out lies all in an effort to gain sympathy.
Before we bring this rejoinder to an end, let us advice them to stop denigrating the stool of Obaro and other traditional rulers for it is God that crowns kings.
They should respect our kings in a bid for us to be able to bring more developments to Kabba.
