The on going thank you tour and the needs assessment visit currently embarked upon by Capt Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor would enable the governor have a first hand information of the yearning and aspiration of majority of rural dwellers.
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi gave the indication in a chat with newsmen during the governor’s visit to Bassa LGA in continuation of his visit to local government areas in the State.
The State Deputy Governor described the mammoth crowd that welcomed the governor to the area as unprecedented,and commended the people of the area for their show of love and support for the governor.
While noting that the provision of electricity to the area, provision of potable water,rural health care, road construction and the creation of employment, among other democracy dividends provided to Bassa LGA by the Governor, Awoniyi maintained is a feat thatย has made the governor a promise keeper.
Furthermore, the visit to Bassa and other LGA’s, Awoniyi disclosed willย enable the governor open another chapter that is requiring of development that will lead to meeting their expectations.
The Deputy Governor described the governor as a promise keeper, assured the people that their support for the present administration would ensure that promises made by the governor to improve their infrastructure and socio- economic development of the area is fulfilled.
Yomi Awoniyi commended Hon Maigida Umar, the Council Chairman of Bassa LGA for keying into the transformation agenda of the Capt Wada’s administration,appealed to the Chairman to emulate the human face, people oriented policies and programs of the governor, that has brought succor to the people at the grassroots.
Awoniyi praised the governor for connecting himself to the people at the grassroots, assured that with the programs as enunciated in the governor’s blueprint agenda, for which the governor is implementing, called on people of the state to look forward to a rewarding future, that will be characterized by improve socio – economicย development.
