In fulfillment of his promise to reach out to the less privileged in the society for the Ramadan season, the Tazan Foundation has extended the distribution of foodstuffs to the less privileged across Adavi LG, Gadumo, and Ganaja village.
Tazan Foundation amongst other humanitarian services it renders, has continued to reach out to less privileged and the aged during all festive seasons.
Speaking to newsmen at the end of the distribution, the founder of the Foundation, Ambassador Tazan Onimisi noted that the distribution was necessary because it’s a period when the Muslim brethren would need it most especially as they are about to commence fasting.
He said that vulnerable members of society, including the aged, were chosen to benefit from the package because it was observed that it would reduce the burden of fasting on them.
According to him, no fewer than hundreds of people were reached with packs of rice, stressing that the gesture was also necessitated particularly at this time due to the prevailing hardship faced by many Nigerians with the scarcity of cash and hike in the cost of petrol.
He appealed to well-meaning individuals in the society, to help the less privileged ease the hardship of vulnerable persons.
Tazan equally called on traders to stop taking advantage of the Holy Month of Ramadan to increase the prices of goods and services.
While receiving the food items, one of the beneficiaries from Adavi LG, Hassan Mohammed, thanked the foundation for the gesture, stressing that Amb. Tazan has been a worthy son of the Local Government.
He further called on well-meaning Nigerians to help the vulnerable Muslims with foodstuff to enable them to stay at home and pray for the nation.
