The Administrator of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Taufiq Isa has condemned the killing by suspected fulani herdsmen in an hamlet in Iluagba Gbede.
Isa made this known on Tuesday during a meeting with traditional rulers, vigilante group, security agencies, fulani herdsmen and Tiv community.
The ALGON boss frowned at the bad incident that occurred between suspected fulani herdsmen and Tiv residents in the late hour of Sunday.
He reiterated that Ijumu has been a comfort zone for all and no intruder will be allowed to disrupt the peace.
The Administrator urged the people of the local government to remain calm and continue with their daily businesses and stated that the master minder of the attack will not go unpunished as security agencies has been deployed to the affected area.
The Chairman of Tivs in the affected area thanked the Administrator, security agencies for their prompt intervention and equally thanks God for not allowing the incident to escalate.
According to the Administrator, one person was killed in the unfortunate incident.
