Tanker Explosion: KLM Calls on President Buhari to Liberate Kogi People

Kogi Liberation Movement (KLM) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rescue people of the state from recurring accidents that has claimed the lives of innocent citizens.

In a statement issued by Comrade Salihu Jiddah on Thursday, KLM lamented that hardworking people have suffered a lot in these serial accidents happening all the times without any fault of theirs.

The movement called for rehabilitation and expansion of Abuja-Lokoja road to avert these dangers which is becoming a recurring decimal in the state.

Jiddah prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace as well as the entire families to have the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. 

He stated that all members of KLM are devastated by the news but insisted that the accident could have been averted if responsible government is in place. Comrade Jiddah blamed Federal and State governments, saying Gov Yahaya Bello must live above political statements and take actions that will see to the rehabilitation of the roads and other projects in dire needs of attention.

“As Governor of Kogi state, I will wake up this morning in alliance with the state assembly and start the road projects not minding if its federal or state, I would not care if I am going to be repaid or not because the live of every citizen matters to me that the seat I occupies as Governor,” he said.

He advised Gov Bello to use his perceived closeness to the president and presidency to the good of all.

He went further to condole with the entire people and government of kogi state who are all sharing in this trying time and pains.  He prayed to God Almighty to avert such occurrences in the future.
