Kogi Lawmaker and member representing Okene II Constituency, Hon. Zakari Yusuf Eneve has congratulates the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo on his Supreme court victory that affirmed the earlier rulings of the lower courts on the governorship dispute describing the judgement as, a victory for democracy.
In his congratulatory message to the governor and people of the state, Hon. Zakari expresses gratitude to Almighty Allah whom in His infinite mercy brought the court cases to a peaceful and victorious end noting that, the administration of Gov. Usman Ododo is now free from the needless court distractions.
He equally appreciates the efforts of all legal counsels that help defend the people’s mandate in court and thank his constituents for their supports and prayers while the case lasted in court assuring them of government’s unwavering commitments to bring more human and infrastructural developments to Okene II Constituency and indeed the state at large.
The state lawmaker hail judiciary for standing firm on the path of law and refusing to help subvert the will of the people despite media intimidation, harassments and threats by the opposition elements. He said the unanimous decisions of supreme court judges to stand by the truth and upheld the rule of law had further rekindled the people’s faith in judiciary as the last hope of common man.
Hon. Zakari said he is confident His Excellency, Gov. Ododo sustain goodwill by doing more to better the lots of Kogi people through his various policies on human capital developments as well continue to consolidate and build on the infrastructural achievement of his immediate predecessor, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
Zakari therefore reiterate his earlier call on the opposition candidates to put individual and party differences aside and join hands with Gov. Usman dodo to move the state forward.
