…Says Remi Tinubu’s Complementary Roles Deserves Commendation
Senator Smart Adeyemi has passionately endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, highlighting the President’s ground-breaking economic reforms, agricultural impact, and diversification efforts as deserving of continued leadership.
In his own words, Adeyemi stated, “Tinubu is building on wealth, creating jobs, embarking on economic diversification, poverty eradication, students’ interest -free loans, social security and innovative leadership”.
He specifically praised Tinubu’s administration for reviving Nigeria’s economy and strengthening national security, and emphasized the significant progress in increasing cash crop production and reducing Nigeria’s overdependence on oil revenue.
Senator Adeyemi who spoke on Tuesday at the sideline of the Kogi APC endorsement of the president for second term emphasized President Tinubu’s transformative impact on Nigeria’s economy, underscoring the critical reforms that have revitalized key sectors.
He said though the reforms were hard at beginning, but were necessary ‘economic surgery” that Nigeria must go through.
”I sincerely praised the President’s bold efforts in driving economic diversification, particularly the boost in cash crop production and the strategic push to reduce Nigeria’s dependency on oil revenue. These reforms have not only stabilized the national economy but also created sustainable agricultural growth that benefits millions of Nigerians.
”When I was in the senate, I had opportunity of scrutinizing the budgets. Nigeria was borrowing close to 80 percent to service the budget, but that has changed now. Then, we were heading to the precipice.
”The agricultural momentum, coupled with expanded oil sector diversification initiatives, has positioned Nigeria for greater resilience against global market shocks.”
Adeyemi who posited that President Tinubu will end up as an hero, said his policies if sustained will yield better result in his second time.
Conversely, Senator Adeyemi criticized the presidential ambitions of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, questioning their suitability to lead Nigeria. He highlighted concerns over ethnic bigotry in their political approaches, arguing that such divisiveness threatens national unity.
Furthermore, Adeyemi condemned Atiku tendencies to favor the sale of vital national assets in time past, a move he viewed as detrimental to Nigeria’s sovereignty and long-term economic independence, “Those who sold Nigeria off are the one trying to return to power. The opposition has nothing to offer Nigeria other than looting our national assets.
”Look at it critically, he (Atiku) has not condemn for once the banditry going on in the north, that is an ethnic undertone.”
Adeyemi described Peter Obi as a jester who should not be taken serious, said the former governor of Anambra state was not the best hand for Igbo to play with, “There are over one millions Igbo that can rule this country- Obi is not one of them.
”The best option for the south East is to support Tinubu for second term, and at the right time, put forward one of their best.”
Adeyemi concluded that President Bola Tinubu’s forward-looking policies and inclusive governance make him the best candidate to continue Nigeria’s progress into the future.
The senator also eulogised the supportive role of the first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, said her efforts has complimented the president better than her predecessors, “The role Senator Remi Tinubu is playing is worthy of emulation; we’ve not witnessed such before.
”Her spirited efforts at giving succour to the less privileged, sharing palliatives across the country, embracing national unity, supporting the policies drive of the president; all these has helped to shaped the present administration, and it’s a proud moment for the country to have such a first lady such as her.
