Members of the Nigerian Senate has been advised to focus on legislative assignment with integrity and stop deceiving Kogi State civil servants with rice.

The Chairman GYB Youth Ambassadors, Hon. Usman Mohammed, in a statement released in Lokoja, said Kogi workers are less concerned with the donation of 1200 bags of rice.
“If the senate really want to help the civil servants they should donate rice to all workers in other states where workers are owed salaries by their state governments.
“Kogi state government didn’t hold civil servants salaries intentionally. There is no way all salaries can be paid while verification. The government can not achieve what it want to achieve. We should know not that one of the big missions of President Muhammadu Buhari is fight against corruption and we found corruption in Kogi state, especially in Kogi civil service commission with offences such as falsification of record, absence from work, improper employment, forged of academic certificates, diaspora staff, etc.
“With a total number of 9,825 ghost workers discovered so far in the verification exercise and state government saving Six Hundred and Fourth Four Million, Nine Hundred Thousand Naira (#644,000,900,000:00) monthly from ghosts workers.
“They should allow the civil servants to put in their best for the overall development of the state.
“We expect the distinguished senators to be nonpartisan and send delegation to verify the true state of the things before playing to the gallery,” he said.
