An aspirant for the State House of Assembly, Adavi Constituency, Ishaq Asuku has lauded members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the peaceful conduct of the just concluded state congress.
He commended the party faithfuls for displaying high level maturity and decorum in the conduct of the party activities.
He described the turnout of party members from across the length and breadth of Kogi State as a testimony that the APC in Kogi state has come to stay and have become one, indivisible party that will continue to wax stronger.
“The APC is one, and as one big entity there is a need to keep the APC family intact without unduly subjecting it to interference and other forms of intimidation. I commend the Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello for the statesmanship displayed by him by allowing the congress to hold without undue pressure.
“Party faithfuls voted peacefully for their choices. The fair play exhibited has never been seen before in party politics in Kogi State. We are lucky that Governor Bello believes that it is God who gives power and has allowed the will of the people to prevail.
“I am confident that with this success achieved at the state congress, it will further spread the wings of the APC as those outside the party will see the APC as a party of fairness and equity,” he said.
He thanked all the members that participated at the congress and congratulated the newly elected chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello and all the elected executives.
He noted that Hon. Bello’s records speaks for him and he is sure that he will deliver on the mandate given to him as chairman of the party.
