State Chairmanship: Kogi PDP Elders Committee Announces Enemona Anyebe as Consensus Candidate

The Kogi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced Hon. Enemona Anyebe as its consensus candidate for the position of State Chairman.

This decision was made by a committee comprising former governors and party leaders, who reviewed the conduct of two initial aspirants and deemed it necessary to opt for a neutral person to avoid escalation of internal crisis.

The resolutions of the Elders Committee led by Former Governor Ibrahim Idris was presented to the Congress of Kogi East Stakeholders on Monday in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.

The elders committee comprises of former Governors Ibrahim Idris and Idris Wada as well as Chief John Odawn, Prince Adejoh Obaje, Hajia Habiba Deen and Mrs. Ruth Eke Iyaji.

The committee zoned the position of zonal chairman to Ofu local government.

The state financial secretary was zoned to Idah LGA, State Publicity Secretary to Dekina federal constituency, though micro-zoned to Dekina LGA.

The party leaders equally zoned Assistant Financial Secretary to Bassa LGA, Assistant Legal Adviser to Omala LGA and Ex-Officio to Ankpa and Ibaji LGAs.

The committee expressed gratitude to Kogi East PDP stakeholders and directed that the names of all consensus candidates be compiled and forwarded to the Committee Chairman for necessary action.

This decision, according to the elders, aimed to promote unity and reposition the party for future success.
