“It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.”-Marcus Aurelius. Bearing this in mind, I have always have a sound ease whenever I remember the demise of the Ocholis’. As difficult as it is to believe they haveĀ  gone for life, a second thought reaffirms they are in the best company, which is of the Lord.

In growing up, I use to see death as a pathway but the unfortunate demise of the Ocholis’ was my realisation that with death comes a new beginning. The night never falls and the dawn keep not breaking whenever I reminisce the demise of this trio tragic departure which has left the Igala nation, Kogi State and Nigeria at large an irreplaceable vacuum.

One year on, the memory keep fresh and the only solace I can find around me is the motivation to build on the good, emulation worthy and exemplary legacies of my brother and trail blazer, Barr James Ocholi Enojo SAN. Unarguably, words cannot do any Justice to the grief of our hearts, the state darkness in our minds, the extent of our missing but alas, death itself is an inevitable reality that we must accept.

Even though it’s been one year since the demise, the memories of a leader per excellent, an astute legal practitioner, beacon of selfless service, icon of egalitarianism, true patriot and exemplary figure remain fresh in our hearts. The circumstances of your death has forever immortalized you but we take solace in knowing that you only left this sinful world for a better and more exalted world.

Adieu Minister,

Rest In Peace SAN,

Rest In Perfect Peace Ocholis’

– Hon Enema Paul,
