Special Advisers to the Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, have been told to sustain their appointment through performance.
The State Governor stated this at a one day retreat for the Special Advisers in Lokoja.
Represented by his Deputy Yomi Awoniyi, said it is only through their performance which will be determined by an appraisal technique put in place by Government will guarantee that the Special Advisers sustain their appointment.
The State Governor said his administration is resolute in providing dividends of Democracy to the people, said the place of the Special Advisers is very pivotal in the attainment of his vision for the people.
The sensitization seminar, Capt. Idris Wada, disclosed was put in place to acquaint the Special Advisers with the mission and vision of the administration, said the workshop will also help them understand the inter – relationship that exist between their office, other appointees as well as their respective Ministry.
While the seminar, the Governor added will enable them understand their role and what is expected of them,said it will also assist in avoiding overlap of functions.
Capt Wada said the other intention of the Seminar is to enable Government harness the unique resources that abound in those it has appointed.
In his speech, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, said the essence of the workshop is to help inter – relate the Special Advisers with the present administration to enable it achieve its transformation agenda, adding that as Special Advisers they have vital roles to play in the task of governance.
