Our attention has been drawn to a news item published on online platforms where our association was said to have endorsed Jimoh Omiata for the speakership position in the 7th assembly.
We would have not bothered ourselves to dignify the purported endorsement orchestrated to cause disaffection among the APC/GYB family in the state with a response.
We, however state categorically that the leadership or other members of our association did not attend any meeting where such issues were discussed, hence we hereby dissociate ourselves from the endorsement saga.
Our association is known for our uprightness in any of our activities as a loyal party women whose interest is to join other reputable associations and individuals to deliver victory to GYB come November 16, 2019 governorship election in Kogi State.
We also want to mention for record purposes that two of our leaders were only added to the White Lion Family online platform and aside that no meeting whatsoever took place anywhere under the sun.
We appeal to all groups to go about their activities in a lawful manner that will promote GYB/APC in the state.
We hereby warn that no group or individuals should use the name of our association for any venture that is aimed at causing rancour among the party faithfuls, as the 25 members-elect of the 7th assembly are member of the same family.
We also want note that our association will have no cause to endorse another personality for the exotic position of the speakership of the 7th assembly aside Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole who is our patron.
