While mourning with my beloved people of Okun land over the loss of lives and property of innocent victims of insecurity and the psychological trauma everyone is subjected to, I hereby, note that the news of insecurity we are hearing ravaging Okun land in Kogi State; of a recent has assumed alarming rate. Hence, I add my voice to call on Kogi State governor, the Commissioner of Police and all authority concerned to as a matter of urgency take every necessary steps to arrest the high level of insecurity in our beloved Okun land.
As the saying goes, “agba o le waloja kori omotitun o wo”. Hence, I also call on our royal fathers to, in their wisdom work together to address the terrible state of insecurity and also reach out to relevant authorities on the best way to handle the rising tide of killing, kidnapping and robbery in Okun land.
It has gotten to the extent that my people in Okun land can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed and even there is fear during the day, as different kinds of attacks have taken place in broad daylight.
In conclusion, I express my heartfelt condolence to all the families that lost loved ones and sympathise with those that lost financially, materially and or emotionally.
Thus, I pray that God will give all leaders concerned, the wisdom and will power to address the terrible insecurity in our once secured land and help us to overcome the tragedy completely.
