I wish to bring to the knowledge of Governor Idris Wada that all is not well with the recent employment at Radio Kogi, Lokoja.
From a reliable source, I learnt that the peoples’ Governor Wada recently approved that 91 persons be employed at Radio Kogi, but the new DG and his crew employed over 150 persons in no particular order! They gave all their family members appointment and people like me and others who are more than qualified were giving level as low as level 4, which is for people with WAEC, they even gave some persons level 2, 3. I am an indigene of Kogi State and have Masters Degree but was placed on Level 4!
We were told that the employment was not based on our qualifications but as they want it. They gave out slots to some top people and gave their candidates good level.
As I send Your Excellency this message, I am very bitter to the point that I rejected my appointment. Sir, you can verify my story.
It is so sad that even in the radio house, the process of the employment is causing rancour amongst the staffs who were left out of it. The top management employed their own families and friends. The government of Captain Idris Ichala Wada is trying to work, but some persons are making sure his efforts don’t get to those he is trying to help.
I rather remain job hunter, than me with all my level of education taking a job on Level 4.
I wish to call on Your Excellency to look into this anomaly.
