Arrangements have been concluded for the commissioning motorized boreholes donated to communities in four local government areas in Kogi state by the Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation.
Chairman of the Foundation, Prince Idoko Dan Ogacheko made this know during a chat with journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday.
Ogacheko said the intervention is part of the Foundation’s quest to provide portable water to distressed community suffering from acute water challenges.
He said the grand patron of the Foundation, Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu, is expected to commission the water projects on the 18th of this month.
Audu will commission water projects in Emewe, Dekina LGA, Ogbonicha in Ofu LGA, Agassa in Adavi LGA and Odolu in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
According to Prince Ogacheko, the grand patron, as part of the scheduled activities, will pay visits to the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim and the Obaro of Kabba, Chief Solomon Owoniyi.
He explained that the four motorized boreholes set to be commissioned are pilot program as communities in other local government areas will also benefit from the project.
He said the donations has no link with politics but a pure benevolence of Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu.
