Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation Sinks Boreholes in 5 LGAs to Tackle Water Scarcity

Chairman of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation said the foundation has sunk 5 boreholes in five local government areas across the state to tackle the perennial water scarcity faced by people in some parts of the state.

This was disclosed by Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, son of former Governor of Kogi state, in a telephone interview with our reporter in Lokoja on Wednesday.

According to him; “We have sunk five boreholes in Ogbonicha, Ofu LG; Ogane-Emewe in Dekina LG and also in Igalamela/Odulu LG.

“Others are in Kabba/Bunu, Adavi and Ogori-Magongo local government areas of the state. We plan to cover all the 21 LGAs in the next few years insha Allah.”

He promised to initiate policies and projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of  the entire people of Kogi state irrespective of tribe, religious or political affiliation.

Shuaibu assured  Kogites that the foundation will embark on people-oriented projects to fight poverty, unemployment and boost the socio-economic welfare of the people of Kogi state.

He urged Kogites to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and embrace peace and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations.
