Today, Thursday 25th May 2017, we learnt with sadness about the death of Sheikh Muhammad Amin.
For decades, Sheik Amin has been one of the leading Muslim clerics in Ebiraland and Nigeria at large. In his service to Islam, he consistently exhibited calmness, exceptional wisdom and a conciliatory stance.
His demise has robbed Islam and Nigeria in general. Sheikh Amin is a pillar of rich Islamic knowledge and an enduring source of advice. His death comes at a time when we has been harnessing his wisdom and that of other leaders to unite Muslims in Ebiraland. We hope that the great work that he has been doing will be emulated by all of us who have been hearing his preaching, to promote unity and peaceful co-existence.
On behalf of the people of Okene 1, and on my own behalf, we extend our deepest condolences to Sheikh Amin’s family, the Muslim fraternity, and indeed the country at large upon his demise.
We pray that Allah grants his soul a peaceful rest.
