Setting the Record Straight on Purported ‘Collapse’ of Faleke’s Political Structure

The attention of the Concerned Falake Supporters Forum (CFSF) has been drawn to a misleading and self-serving narrative making the rounds under the guise of a declaration by a so-called “Faleke Youth Vanguard,” claiming a “collapse” of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke’s political structure in Kogi State.

Ordinarily, such a baseless claim would not deserve a response, but for the need to prevent the unsuspecting public from being misled, we find it necessary to set the record straight.

First, for the avoidance of doubt, the Concerned Falake Supporters Forum (CFSF) unequivocally dissociates itself from the said group and its unfounded declaration. The forum, with verifiable membership cutting across the 21 local government areas, towns, and villages of Kogi State, remains intact, cohesive, and unwavering in its political ideology and leadership loyalty.

It is important to remind the public that in 2019, ahead of the governorship election, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke led thousands of his supporters to the Government House in Lokoja, where he publicly declared support for the re-election bid of former Governor Yahaya Bello and urged his supporters to do same. That singular act demonstrated leadership, political maturity, and the strength—not weakness—of his structure.

Therefore, the claim of a “collapsed political structure” is not only false but laughable. No credible or recognized organ within the Faleke political family has announced or endorsed such a move. What exists are desperate attempts by faceless groups seeking relevance and patronage, whose personal interests have clearly overshadowed any sense of responsibility to truth and integrity.

We challenge the promoters of this narrative to provide evidence of legitimacy, including verifiable leadership, membership structure, and a clear mandate from Hon. Faleke himself. Anything short of this confirms what discerning observers already know—that this is nothing but a poorly scripted political gimmick.

While we respect the rights of individuals and groups to freely associate and express political preferences, it is imperative that such actions are not falsely attributed to established and credible political platforms.

The Concerned Falake Supporters Forum (CFSF) remains focused, united, and committed to principled political engagement. We will not be distracted by cheap propaganda or attempts to rewrite political realities.

We urge the public and party faithful to disregard the said claims in their entirety.
