In Nigeria, there are Senators (lawmakers) with diverse leadership styles and parliamentary inputs.

In our political lexicon, some politicians are too dissimilar; glaring disconnect from their Constituents’.

However, in Kogi West Senatorial District, we have Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, Committee Chairman, Senate Services who has continued to propel the conduit for sustainable change and new ideas using the instrumentality of the legislature for Constituents gain.

Without an iota of doubt, Sen. Karimi have shown that he is constantly in consonance with the pulse of his Constituents’ & will go the whole hog in ensuring that the social contract willingly handed over to him is not shortchanged, either by hook or default.

Some of the distinguishable traits that stands out Karimi is his trademark traditional style of delivering dividends of democracy – unwavering commitment to work, not talking too much but end up doing great exploits, deliberately avoiding saying things that will never be done, not distracted by social media hype or backlash, placing less emphasis on the few minorities but dwelling on the silent majorities etc

As a sign of appreciation, Kogi West dwellers are grateful for the massive infrastructural developments vis a vis road construction and rehabilitation, provision of portable water, rural electrification and connection to national grid etc across the senatorial district.

Parents and students in higher citadel of learning envisage our amiable Senator as God sent for the bursary awards and scholarships. These rare gestures, of course, have lessened the parents financial burdens on their wards.

Recently, Senator Karimi graciously donated 16 units of electric transformers comprising 500 and 300 kva respectively to boost electricity supply to Communities in Kogi West.

Today, Senator Karimi has not only awakened the dreams and visions of the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he is resolutely determined to taking legislative business and people centric leadership to the next level.

In 2027, the good and appreciative Kogi West Constituents shall once again, engender a human face Representation in the Red Dome of the National Assembly.

They are willing to look beyond primordial considerations and myopic conjectures.

It is therefore, not beyond expectation that numerous leaders, individuals and groups are rooting for Sunday Steve Karimi as he hasn’t derailed from the promises made in 2023, put issues and challenges of Constituents’ first at the expense of personal benefits.
