The joy and happiness of the accommodating people and residents of Kiri Kingdom knew no bounds when the Senator Representing Kogi West, Senator Sunday Karimi in his usual magnanimity and humanitarian interventions released funds for the reconstruction of Pakuta Bridge in Kiri Kingdom.

It is instructive to note that, few days after being informally informed about the impassable and dilapidated nature of the bridge that was constructed more than 50 years ago, he swung into action by releasing funds for immediate work to commence.

Pictorial evidence have clearly shown the fact that the contractor have mobilized equipment, materials and personnel to site and work is currently ongoing.

According to Engr. Olu Tolufashe, who is handling the project, “it was somehow difficult to move equipments to site due to the poor road network.

“Yes, we encountered a lot of difficulties but luckily enough, it is now a thing of the past.”

Expectedly, when the bridge is completed, it will help in no small measure to ensure that users who are majorly traders, foresters and farmers move their goods, logs and farm produce respectively from source to their sales point without much fuss.

As a way of showing appreciation and gratitude to Senator Karimi, kind words and prayers is being held on a daily basis for his magnanimity, proactive nature and timely intervention in alleviating the many years of suffering by the users of the bridge and residents.

In no distant time, baring unforeseen circumstances, the Pakuta bridge shall be ready for use to the glory of God almighty and humanity, courtesy of Senator Sunday Karimi (Kogi West).
