The senator representing Kogi Central, Senator Ahmed Ogembe said he has plans to construct five boreholes and provide two transformers for each Local Government as part of his constituency project in the 2016 budget.
He said doing that would go a long way to reduce the perennial water shortage in the area and improve electricity distribution which will boost business activities in the district.
The senator made his plan known during the stakeholders meeting in Okene, the head quarters of Kogi Central senatorial district.
“Though I don’t have the quantum of resources available to the Executive but I will always strive to do my best to make you happy,
Don’t compare me with the Governor, I don’t have such resources at my disposal, I am just a legislator but I will always do my best to make my people happy and comfortable,” Ogembe said.
Responding on-behalf of the stakeholders, Alh. Sule Aliu expressed satisfaction with the representation of Senator Ogembe.
“We want to thank you for the quality representation in Abuja, we have been told that you operate an open door policy, we were also told how you have been running around to get job for our children” he said.
Alh Sule said this shows we made the right choice by choosing you to represent us at the upper chamber, and we are all proud of you.
The stakeholders took turn to commend the leadership quality of Senator Ogembe and urged him to continue with his good work, stating that they are all expecting more from him.
