Kogi West Senator Sunday Karimi has called on the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Bertrand Onuoha and the Director General, Department of State Security (DSS) in Kogi State to urgently deploy a team of security personnel to Isanlu, headquarters of Yagba East local government to stop the spade of ongoing kidnapping incident in the area.
Senator Karimi, in a press release on Thursday, expressed concerns that more than six people have been kidnapped in the past 48 hours within the affected area.
Three people allegedly lost their lives between Idofin and Isanlu in an attempt to escape from the kidnappers.
Senator Karimi, who commended Governor Yahaya Bello’s efforts in making lives and properties safe in the state, however called on the Police Commissioner and the DG SSS to rise to the occasion and curb the spate of kidnapping in Isanlu.
