Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has commenced the installation of hundreds of solar-powered streetlights at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba.
In addition to the PAAU project, the Senator also facilitated the installation of 20 solar streetlights at Holy Rosary Primary and Secondary School, Idah, as well as at Girls’ Secondary School, Okaba, in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony held at PAAU, Anyigba, the Vice-Chancellor, represented by the Registrar, Dr. Segun Yahaya Alilu commended Senator Echocho for his sustained commitment to the development of the institution.
The DVC (Administration), Professor Johnson Orogun, alongside other principal officers, were also in attendance.
Mikail Ibrahim, the media aide to Senator Echocho noted that the intervention is timely to illuminating dark spots within the university community to enhance safety and reduce the growing security concerns affecting the academic environment.
