As preparation for the general elections intensifies, it is important that we do not leave any stone unturned and like Kogites always say this is the right time to shake tables and even get them broken if necessary.
After seven years in office it is ideal that we ask our amiable Senator Atai Aidoko certain questions and ensure that he provides us with all the necessary answers before we get to the poling units. This will help us know where to properly shift our blames and who to really give our support.
Before the 2015 general elections the present Senator Atai Aidoko was given above 600 million naira for the mobilization of party members and well wishers of the PDP presidential aspirant formal president Goodluck Jonathan, there was no mobilization and there was no provision for logistics and those who can still remember will agree that the electoral process as that time was a crawl for the party in the state which eventually led to the failure of the party during the elections.
Please, senator Atai Aidoko should tell us where is that money, since he did not put it to use or he returned it to the president Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization.
The same effort by the formal president to empower over 450 youth in Kogi state before the general elections also met a “Hallowed” ground (if I am to borrow the new word making the rounds) – about 300 three Cycles and 350 motor cycles were sent to Kogi east through senator Atai Aidoko this cycles did not get to the constituency and was not returned to the federal government.
Mr senator sir, please where are the three cycles and the motor cycles?
All though reliable rumours have it that the have all been sold by the senator but we will refuse to accept it until there are tangible reasons to do so.
So our distinguish sir you need to tell us what happened to those three Cycles and motorcycles before the elections.
Before the 2015 general elections the same senator Atai Aidoko was at the fore front of those who were insulting party leaders like former governors Ibrahim Idris, Idris Wada and even late prince Abubakar Audu, calling them all sort of names, basically because they complained of his poor performance, his continuous diversion of constituency allocation into personal accounts and even his secret selling and leasing of constituency properties.
Up till date the senator has not apologized to these stakeholders, nor to the party or the good people of Kogi East, and I strongly wonder why party supremacy has not in any way interfered in this, because the party did not penalise him or in any way suspended him from party activities.
Even when they said senator Atai Aidoko was having some secret romance with the APC in other to ensure a safer landing in the 2015 election, it was never considered an anti party activities. I guess the anti party decree of the PDP is only for a selected members of the party or probably he Atai Aidoko is untouchable.
Recently about 1059 motorcycles and 600 KEKE napep, 2000 sewing machines and others has been sent down to Kogi state for empowerment, mobilization of party faithfuls and electorates for the forth coming presidential elections and nearly a month to the said election none of this cycles have been seen.
The senator has refused to release them, and I presume he has indeed started making plans to sell them as usual.
While we are no longer worried of his lasting failure as the senator representing the people of Kogi East, we are heavily disturb of his selfish approach towards the mobilization of party faithfuls and electorates for the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state come February and therefore some of us who are very unsettled that if such poor approach is not urgently address the party will definitely lose in the state – are calling on all well meaning Kogites who are in one way or the other advocating for the victory of Atiku/Obi to insist that senator Atai Aidoko release not just the funds that has been disbursed for mobilization of party faithfuls and the electorates.
But should also ensure that the three Cycles and motor cycles sent to Kogi East should also be released immediately so that better mobilization and consolidation of the house to house campaign target which this Cycles were released for will be done before the general elections.
Like I said earlier, this is the era of table shaking and we have just started.
