If really you meant well for the Igala race, particularly the welfare and development of the Igala people, by now all swords should have been relaxed to forge ahead headlong, on how to rejig the inadequacies arising from bad leadership in Kogi State that has affected a large chunk of our people.
I don’t know why this writer had taken a grand position that without a particular aspirant in Kogi East polity, the much yearned liberation and sustenance in all spheres will not be realisable. That is not practicable from all angles
It is from all side disgusting and dishonourable to sum up such an awkward  word “Kidnap” on a distinguished and ranking senator of the federal republic under the influence of bitter politics, just for the mere fact that the senator refused to make himself available to the prey of assassins planned and ganged up against him at the venue of the party’s primaries in Kogi East.
Having preoccupied their minds to fire for fore that is tantamount to unleashing violence on a single person by multiple aspirants, that had placed the PDP into landslide victory in kogi east, their failed plans to exterminate the hero of Kogi politics for sheer inordinate ambition was to avoid unnecessary rancour that will denied the area of adequate representation.
It was however on record that for the purpose of clarity and according to the party hierarchy, the process was consummated within the given period and Kogi East senator was declared returned to contest against other parties as PDP candidate.
However, owing to intra party squabbles and other contrived plans, other contestants could not look before they leap for the real exercise which was not necessarily held on Tuesday but on any other day for the winner, Senator Atai Aidoko to emerge, a decision buttressed by the electoral and appeal panel.
The earlier decision of the panel that disqualified other contestants  before the primary elections still stands, hence denying them of even making themselves available for the primaries. Therefore their presence in Idah itself was illegal and against the PDP rules.
Now that the wind had blown and the direction is becoming clearer, it now behoves on us to either belong in or belong out. If the current speculations about the multiple contestants in anything to go by, the idea of open war is no longer feasible. To Aidoko is his PDP platform and to others is their platforms, let’s agree to meet in the elections by February.
But of a truth and for a true statesman, I will in my own volition plead with the former contestants and their supporters to show more commitment and solidarity to the aspirations of Kogi East senator to return on a collective agreement and join hands together to salvage the area to attract more political dividends to the entire race which will in turn transform to more bumper political positions and offices in terms of appointment and employment.
Because what truce can not ameliorate, I don’t think crises will do any good to the same situation.  So, let’s move Kogi East forward by returning Senator Atai Aidoko Ali in 2019.
