Senator Atai Aidoko Ali (Kogi East) has called called for good governance, peace and unity as Christians mark the death and resurrection Jesus Christ.
Aidoko made the call in a message to mark this year’s Easter celebration which, he said, formed the hallmark of Christendom ‎and Christianity.
He advised Christians saddled with leadership positions to show love, generosity, magnanimity and desire to make a change in people’s lives.
He said the exemplary virtues ‎of Jesus Christ should be emulated in the people’s daily lives as the saviour lived and died for the remission of sins and to guarantee our freedom as partners in progress.
Aidoko urged Kogites to pray against the new form of violence staring the people in the face through killings and violent attacks by herdsmen, saying all hands must be on deck to mitigate the reckless government approach to security issues.
The federal lawmaker advised the people of the state to be patient with the present order in the state, praying for longevity to get over the present misnomer.
