Alhamdullilah, it feels like it was just yesterday, when distinguished senator Ahmed Salawu Ozi Ogembe took his oath of office at the red chambers of National Assembly, how time flies, it’s already 365 days and counting.
365days of giant strides and unmatchable feat attained. 365days of arguable what seem to be the best representation in the red chambers of the national assembly since the demise of the late political icon of ebira land- Senator A.T Ahmed (may his soul rest in the bosom of God )
When senator Ahmed Ogembe was sworn in at the Senate chambers, he already have a road map and clear picture of what he wants to achieve as a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, representing the good people of kogi central. He was prepared for the job and so it took him within split seconds to hit the ground running.
Senator Ogembe is a man who knows and feels the plight of his constituents. Armed with an impeccable working ethics and unrivaled instinct of a goal-getter, He is leaving no stone unturned to deliver a purposeful and people Centered representation.
In a bit to ameliorate the perennial water scarcity in kogi central, he moved quickly to checkmate this situation bedeviling his constituency by providing twenty five(25) motorized boreholes across the five (5) local governments in kogi central senatorial district.
Details of the breakdown on where the boreholes are being constructed includes:

3. Obeiba (Front of Alh. Isah compound)
4. Okuhuwakpa, Obangede
5. Old soldier street, Abobo ward
6.Front of Ibrahim Omonowo’s compound.
Adavi Local government
1. Kuroko 1, Ukuta
2. Adavi-Eba, Otutu Kashim .
3. Farm center ( Irepeni)
4. Alh Alhasan compound, Anyoke.

Senator Ogembe’s laudable achievements include the following
• six (6) transformers across kogi central
• Completion of the civic centre in Okene
•Dedication towards the revamping of the moribund Ajaokuta steel complex
•Influencing job opportunities for unemployed youth.
Distinguished senator Ahmed Ogembe operates an open door policy that welcomes everyone from his constituency to interact with him and chart a way forward for the constituency. As a leader, He knows service to the good people of kogi Central is key to quality representation, hence his human relation and ability to interact with his constituents.
Talk about humility and Senator Ogembe fits in perfectly to this description, such was the case when he was visibly reduced to tears at the hearing of the insecurity in kogi central that has led to soma by untimely death.
Leadership is never by size nor age,but by the ability to recognize what leadership in itself entails, Senator Ahmed Ogembe is one who’s leadership style is simply service to humanity.
